How Adsense Pays Its Publishers
There are two methods that you can choose from to receive payment from Adsense: through Electronic Funds Transfer and through checks, either in U. S. dollars or in your local currency. Whichever method you select will depend on your preference, location and affirmative, patience.
Electronic Funds Transfer If you prefer EFT, your Adsense earnings will be deposited directly to your bank account. This is a quick and simple process and is a better choice for publishers who are located in Adsense’s supported countries, because it’s free and very convenient.
What to do: Design an account with Adsense and click on the ‘edit’ link under Payment Details. Under the EFT section, click on ‘Add a new bank account’. You will need to supply your bank details and then save the information online.
Adsense will consequently deposit a test amount into your bank account. Don’t get your hopes strikingly high, though. The amount is too small to be significant. After 4 to 10 days, you may verify with your bank if a deposit from either ‘Google’ or ‘BFS’ has been made.
Once you have confirmed the deposit, go to your Adsense account and under the Payment Details section, click on ‘Verify this account’. Insert the test amount you received. Once you have correctly supplied this clue, your bank account will then be approved and will automatically receive future payments from Adsense.
When to expect it: If you chose EFT after the 15th of the month, you will not be able to receive your earnings for the next payment cycle. To ensure that you do get paid say, for your January earnings, make sure you perform the above process before February 15. EFT accounts typically receive payments within 2 - 4 days after release.
Checks You can stable opt to receive checks either in U. S. dollars or in your local currency. If you are a non - U. S. publisher, having checks unreal out in your local currency can save you more in terms of bank charges and clearing time.
What to do: After signing in to your Adsense account, click on the ‘edit’ link under Payment Details and choose ‘Check - Standard Delivery’. Both Triond and Helium are good sources of online writing income. You just have to understand how they work.
Many writers who write online has tried most of the writing websites that give freelance writers a chance to be heard, be published and earn an income from their writing. Writing websites such as Triond, Associated Content and Helium are quite common among online writers and often you see writers of the different websites knocking the other sites as scams and something not worth their time and energy as a writer.
Well I am a member of Triond and Helium and as of yesterday an Associated Content member, and I have found that both Triond and Helium have their positives and negatives. From my personal use of Triond it seems to promote your content more and you seem to have a better chance of having your articles read on Triond than at Helium. I believe this has something to do with the ranking system at Helium. If your article is ranked at the top you will be read more times than the lower ranked articles.
However, the problem arises with the Helium ranking system when you come to observe how people search the net. Web users do not have time to sit around and sift through the all information available out there. As a result, web users are more likely to read the top three, at most, articles on a topic, if they read that much. Therefore, if you have an article ranked 5 out of 20, with the Helium ranking system you are not likely to get a lot of page views based on how web users search for information.
While on Triond, your content has a better chance of being read as each article is given its own page and is not ranked by how valuable Triond users think the article is. Consequently, I have made more on Triond from page views with just five articles than I have on Helium with 18 articles.
However, this is not to say that Helium is without any perks or positives. This couldn't be further from the truth. I joined Helium in August and have not been writing as consistently as I have hoped or as other writers have. And with a poor writing consistency I was able to earn $250 in the Helium Marketplace in addition to my trickles of dollars from total page views.
What Helium lacks in wide readership for all its ranked members, it sure does make amends for in the Marketplace and in the weekly contests. I have never won a contest myself because I don't feel the contest page is really my thing. I must admit that it hurts to see my article plummet to the bottom of the ranking, only to see them rise to their right place at the top at the end of the contest when I have already lost! Bummer.
I do have more confidence in the Helium Marketplace and contrary to my initial belief you don't have to be from or have visited the area on which you write. I say this because I write mostly travel guides and tips in the Marketplace and thought that I couldn't submit to the titles because I've never visited those places. One day I just wrote to a title and to my surprise I was chosen for a $44 article for writing about 550 words. The thing is just to follow the guidelines, research the area you are writing about and write with some passion and you have a good chance at being selected as publishers sometimes choose two to three writers to a title, or sometimes even seven.
As it goes for the weekly contests page I couldn't really give any information on how to win one as I have never, but in my defense I have only participated in one contest. Sad, isn't it? However, there are many articles on Helium from writers who win these contests almost every week on the website. All you have to do is just use the search tool and search for how to win Helium contests and attempt it yourself.
So when it comes to Triond and Helium, Triond has better readership as well as more flexible payment options. I talk about flexible payment options as some writers who write online do not live in countries where Paypal and the banking system work together. So if the option is Paypal only, it excludes great writers from sharing content. Triond, however, has the option of payment by check or Western Union and that is another positive.
Helium has an advantage over Triond when it comes to additional source of quick income. The Helium Marketplace and contests provide Helium members with a way to supplement their income from the page views they generate.

1. Do not use fake information when opening your Google AdSense account.
Google says that’s a no-no and they will cut your account off and keep all the money you may have earned. Besides, trying to hide your true identity can cause serious problems with the I.R.S. or whoever your tax authority is.
2. Do not hack or modify Google AdSense code other than to change the parameters that Google authorizes you to change.
Any attempt to bypass Google’s built-in algorithms not only poses a danger to the integrity of the network, but it threatens the financial modle that Google operates under. You’re not dealing with some Mom-and-Pop company here, and Google has the legal muscle and deep enough pockets to drag you through every court in the land if you damage their business with your hacking antics.
3. Keep AdSense ads off of your registration, confirmation, and all "thank you" pages.
Don’t ask me why you can’t put your ads there. It makes sense to me that those would be wonderful locations. Google thinks otherwise, however, and doing so is a hanging offense according to their Terms of Service.
4. Do not display AdSense ads and a competitor's ads (like Overture's) on the same page at the same time.
That just makes plain good sense. Google doesn’t demand 100% SITE loyalty from you, but they do insist that their own ads not be cluttered up by offerings from their competitors.
5. Don't "beg for clicks" or provide any incentive for clicking on your Google AdSense ads.
This is a biggie and you see this rule violated all the time. Any of the “get paid to do stuff” sites that put Google ads in the member’s control panels are walking the plank and they don’t even realize it. Even those sites with the polite little messages asking you to “help keep my site running by clicking on our sponsor’s ads” are asking to be cut off if those happen to be Google ads.
6. Never click on the ads running on your own site, even if you are genuinely interested in the product or service and are thinking of buying it!
Nothing screams FRAUD louder than a webmaster running up his or her own click counts by happily clicking on ads fromtheir own site. The Google Gods can track this activity and it won’t be long until you find yourself getting a goodbye note from their fraud team.
7. No misleading labeling
Google is very specific about what text can be placed around their ads. Their Terms of Service state: “Publishers may not label the ads with text other than ‘sponsored links’ or ‘advertisements.’ This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads.”
This is to keep visitors from becoming confused and barking up Google’s tree when they clicked on an ad that led to a porn site instead of the recipe site they were expecting to visit.
8. Avoid keyword spamming and other divisive tricks
You may be tempted to buy one of those “generates thousands of key-word rich pages in seconds” programs that are so popular these days but I’ll tell you this: Their days are numbered. Google is wise to such shenanigans and they will be hot on your trail. Other prohibited gimmicks include:
• ”Sneaky” page redirects that send a visitor off to a different site then they were expecting to visit.
• Multiple sites, domains, pages, etc. which have substantially duplicate content.
• Hidden text or links of any type.
• Excessive outbound links on any page. Google recommends no more than 100. I’d keep it way below that.
• And here is a nugget of wisdom straight from Google’s mouth: “Do not participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web as your website may be affected adversely by those links.
9. Don’t advertise anything on Google’s prohibited items list.
It’s a lot shorter lists than PayPal’s or eBay’s, but it includes a lot of the same stuff like hacking/cracking content, porn, illegal drugs, gambling sites, beer or hard alcohol (I guess wine is OK), weapons, and the other usual stuff.
10. And the 10th dumbest thing NOT to do with Google AdSense is to let the other nine things stop you from running an honest site that’s designed to make the most out of this very profitable opportunity that Google offers!
